"The Namazu Viera"
is an ongoing creative project, set within the world of Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV). It follows the adventures of two unconventional Viera characters who identify deeply with the Namazu beast tribe.A Unique Identity:
The story centers on Saran, a Viera who was raised by the Iriq tribe in the Azim Steppe rather than in the traditional Viera homelands.The “fishy heart”:
Through formative experiences in her youth, she developed a deep spiritual connection to the Namazu (a fish-like people in FFXIV) and considers herself one of them in spirit.The Golden Whisker:
A central element of her lore is a golden whisker, symbolizing her bond with the fish-like folk and her status as a "Namazu emissary."The Twin:
Aurora is the project's second central protagonist. She was raised in the absolute isolation of the Void, a remnant world left in ruins. Her journey is a deeply melancholic one, focusing on her emotional evolution as she navigates the pain of solitude and battles both external enemies and her own internal struggles.The Black Whisker:
The "Black Whisker" is a darker, corrupted version of Namazu.
He often acts as a secret helper or dark shadow, influencing the Viera Aurora's journey.Style and Content:
The Artist uses a mix of Gpose (FFXIV's in-game photo mode) and digital illustrations, that have been artistically edited to look like a comic or manga.Tone:
The comics are generally wholesome, humorous, and community-focused. They often explore themes of belonging and found family.
In contrast you follow Aurora through a dark, atmospheric and action focused story-line.
